Honestly, the waiting killed the excitement for me. Ugh, we are on Day 9 already. That is the longest I've ever had to wait, but it looks like Marshmallow will break that record.

I like how you are counting the days from when Android Os updates are released and when they hit your phone.

Would be good to see a comparison with other Nexus devices or Apple Os.

I have a Nexus 7 2013 WiFi. Several (many) days ago I got notification of system update. I went through the little Android guy getting abdominal surgery, then the "optimizing" all the apps. But it seems nothing has changed. Android version shows 5.1.1, and System updates says my system is up to date, and was last checked a few minutes ago. I've waited some days in case it was going to fix itself, and rebooted several times. Now I think it's time to get help. Anybody know what happened?

Sounds as though you received the 5.1 security patch that was pushed out a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, Ron. I didn't know about that. From what I've read, Nexus 7 2013 is supposed to get 6.0. If I don't see it after a while, I guess I could try side-loading.

I'm in waiting mode myself. I bought the Nexus 6 because it was hyped as Googles flagship phone and would be among the first to get updates. Still waiting 19 days now after rollout.

Tried the pull sim and reset method and no luck. Unlocked Nexus 6 on Verizon.

Still waiting for the OTA on my N7 2013. Thought for sure it would have already received it, being the OTA started rolling out weeks ago now. Maybe Google paused the update, similar to the lollipop flop last year? Who knows...
