Google Music plays ring tones and other crap files

I have all my music stored on my SD card. Why in the hell when I shuffle music it plays ring tones and other wav files? I never added these to my card

If those files are downloaded from another app that's not properly categorizing them as ringtones or 'hiding' the files from the system, to any music player like Play Music, they're just media files. And those get listed and played if you shuffle through your files.

If you know where these files are you can add a .nomedia file to the folder and that should, in theory, 'hide' media files from the system.
