Can't connect S6 to macbook after Marshmallow update!

After installing the Marshmallow update on my phone, I can no longer use Android File Transfer to copy my pictures from my S6 to my macbook. I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

I have tapped enable MTP connection and also uninstalling Android File Transfer and reinstalling.

Any other suggestions please?

I don't know about MacBook in particular, but in general:

Connect phone to PC
Power on phone and unlock if necessary
Swipe down the notification shade and tap "USB Connected"
Select "File Transfer"

You will have to repeat each time you plug into your PC.

It works on PC but I need to transfer my pics to a mac!

Any other ideas please?

It allows you to "connect" to your phone's storage using a browser and only requires that your phone and PC/Mac/Other device be accessible over the same network - typically the same Wi-Fi network.
