Contact icon in the quick setting menu

There is a contact icon next to settings icon in the quick setting menu ( i.e when I swipe down on top of my screen ) ... when I click that I get a error message on screen saying 'The contact does not exist.' .. Just want to know what exactly this Icon is for and how can I fix it to fit for purpose ?

Welcome to the forums. What phone do you have? In some phones if you tap on this icon you can switch between different users (owner, guest, etc). It represents yourself and you can change the avatar in your contacts app under 'me'.

Try a couple of things. Open your Contacts app and see if there's one called 'ME' first on that list. If there's no information associated to this contact, tap on 'set up my profile', add your name and any extra info you want and save the changes. Also, go to settings - users and see what's listed in there.

Re: Contact icon in the quick setting menu

Hi Javier, Thanks for your reply. I did not find ME in the contact list, so I have set up my profile in contacts. I can now see my contact opens when I click on the icon next to settings. But what is the whole point of this icon anyway?
