I have a new mini M8S II/S905 android TV box which overall works fine other than Im having issues reading/writing some files from the USB drive to the box. Theses are KODI backup/restore files (zip) from a previous M8S build. Strange though that some files on the USB drive (apks) do work, can be accessed and installed?
Any attempt to backup KODI (I have 3 apps, XBMC backup and restore, USB SD CARD WIZARD, KODI backup restore app) generates an error NO STORAGE message. The USB DRIVE files are recognised in FILE EXPLORER on the box but it seems cannot be accessed. The box is rooted and the USB drive formatted as PORTABLE STORAGE as required by android 6
Is this an operating system issue, maybe a USB hidden menu somewhere?, maybe my device cant deal with zipped files and if not why not?
Am going round in circles here, any help much appreciated
