Google Play services on HTC 10

And the reason I'm posting in the marshmallow forum they have already posted in the HTC 10 forum. It seems that my Google Play services is using more percentage of my battery than my screen and this is after the August and September Android security patches. How to get some context I am on an unlocked HTC 10 what does get the updates faster than the carrier versions. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this trend with any other Android devices thank you.
