I have my ages old cell number ported to Google Voice, do using either the Voice app or Hangouts is pretty much necessary for me.
Hangouts has always seemed to be a battery hog for me, with doing VoIP and sometimes it seems like my device doesn't ring 100% of the time. Something in the app is keeping the phone awake at almost all times
So, recently I have uninstalled and moved over to the upgraded Google Voice app. At times this runs much better than Hangouts, and outgoing calls aren't really an issue since I have great carrier coverage.
Today, however, it seemed to be the culprit that was keeping Android OS and Android System awake for quite a while. Any ideas? I could also just forward everything to my phone and use dummy numbers to reply like the pre-app days but would rather not do that.
Here is Usage graph... you can tell when I uninstalled Voice because the phone stopped staying awake incessantly.
Any ideas?
