Alarm clock sound changed - all sounds same

Suddenly, the alarm clock I use (the default android clock) has a really soft beep as the sound. I didn't change the sound, but I went to choose a different one and all the alarm sounds are this same lame, soft beeping! Thank God I still woke up today...where have my alarm sounds gone and how can I get them back?? I have a Moto G4 Play Android 6.0.1. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Where are you trying to change the alarm sound? Have you tried changing it for any different alarm you have set? Do you have any custom sounds saved on an SD card? Are you using any third party app (Zedge, file explorer ...) to change the sound?
