volume down button

S7 Edge: volume down button is depressed and will not release. This causes phone to open in Safe mode. Fix?

Repair shop. The phone has to be taken apart.

Yup, unfortunately unless you can un-press the button the phone will just keep registering as such.

If you don't want to take it to a service center, have you tried un-pressing the button with something fairly sticky?

Let us know how it goes. If it's lightly 'stuck', then any piece of tape should do the trick. If it's REALLY stuck, you could try those sticky dots used for hanging stuff on walls without residue after removal (just be careful not to get it anywhere else BUT the button you're trying to pull).
