On my S7 I had the heads up notification that would allow you to read/reply or dismiss a text message when I was using a different app... After switching to the S8+ I no longer get this popup. I do see a small, pointless pop-up that is literally a small amount that shows maybe the first 4 or 5 words of a text, but goes away very fast.
The funny thing is my wife and I have the same EXACT phones and hers still has the pop up that allows you to reply/read, dismiss... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE???
I have looked in every nook and cranny of the settings menu and can not, for the life of me, find a setting that is even remotely related. As a matter of fact - there is not even a "pop-up notification" toggle on my messaging app.
