Hold onto your tastebuds! I would like to tell you about our new free app Gvidi which will become your personal guide to the restaurant world around you. It has been recently launched in the US (Google Play; Amazon) and even featured by TechCrunch and Social Times.

Gvidi is the intelligent personalized restaurant search engine which recommends the best food locations fitting your individual tastes.

At a time when the explosion of data around us is making our lives more complex, Gvidi is making finding a place to eat simple as never. Stop wasting your time on studying directories, maps, restaurant review collections, history of your friends' check-ins, and other supersaturated data sets to make up your mind on where to go! Gvidi is doing that for you and forecasts your individual sympathies for each restaurant nearby.

The free Android app Gvidi features a massive directory of bar, restaurant, and cafe locations, photos, and reviews made really intelligent by Gvidi's personalized search score. Based on your searching, location, interests, and social profiles, Gvidi recommends the best restaurants fitting your tastes. All recommended restaurants are given percentage scores based on their fit to your individual preferences and can be filtered across multiple criteria: WiFi, 24/7, playground, non-smoking, and more.

The secret to the app's great recommendations is our Advanced Algorithms for your Appetite: Gvidi processes open data about your and your friends' habits and interests across social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare, and automatically creates your potential interest level for a certain type of food location. As a result, the app points out how much (0% to 100%) you will like each cafe or restaurant nearby. Your feedback from ratings and connecting through social networks ensures these personalized recommendations get smarter as you search.

The Gvidi app features a clean, glossy modern design. All recommendations are easily viewed by map and in a detailed list. Give ratings to restaurants and cafes you have been to before, and connect Gvidi to your social media accounts in order to get the most accurate personalized recommendations.

Active travellers and big city inhabitants would love this app. Enjoy your personal Gvidi, and please share your ideas about the app right here.

Not bad. I understand why you added login with Facebook, but why not anything else?

Thank you.

Actually, login with Facebook allows us to get the most relevant user data to start with. For example, login with Twitter will give us much less, and we will hardly get to know even a user's real name, not to mention that friends and followers are still quite different stories in terms of counting personalized scores through the social graph. However, we are working on adding some other login opportunities.

I am definitely in a minority. I hate social media sites, Facebook being the most vile in my opinion.
The method I would probably prefer is to set up an account directly with the developer, and fill out info at my discretion.
