    Default Facebook Virus Threat: android.plankton.origin.2

Twice already I've tried updating my Facebook app on my phone from the Android Market and twice I got a warning saying the app carries a virus called android.plankton.origin.2. So immediately I delete it. My virus scanner is Dr. Web. Should I be worried or no?

I have had the same problem the 10+times I've tried. Any clues anyone?

    Thanks.

Same here -- tried to update Facebook app twice on 12/9/11 and got the same warning from Dr. Web. And, my phone started making an odd alarm-sounding noise.
Deleted it, but I miss having the app on my phone.

Looked it up. looks like a fatal virus that wipes framework.dir

There was report of "unknown activity" with the FB for Android application. I had a hard time logging into my account using the app. I'm not sure if It's because of the "authentication" issue, or the problem is coming from FB itself. Keep in mind that Facebook is still working on pushing out the new upgraded features.

I just updated the fb app today. Should I get something to scan it?
