Just got Samsung S3- At&T visual VM is separate from the phone?

Hello

Just got the Samsung S3 (AT&T). Love the screen!

The phone did not come w/ native visual voicemail, so I had to download the app separately. Why is this not part of the native phone app? Can they be combined?

I think it's ridiculous to have these 2 separated, they should be part of the same, like it is on the iphone.

Not sure why that's a problem. If you want visual voice mail you download the app from the Playstore and all works perfectly.
