google and 3rd party apps

I don't mean to rain on any dev's parade(s), but i have noticed that while using an Android phone i don't bother with other "search like" apps such as yelp, yellow pages, where, etc... With google's built-in search that lets you quickly perform "local" search, what's the point of using them?
it's easier an faster for me to type in "movie times" into the search bar than open up some movie times app.
what are other people's experience or opinion of this?

Go with what works for you. Not everything appeals to everyone.

I personally really like Yelp. It's reviews are extremely useful IMO and in my experience. I've used it quite a bit while traveling.
