What Apps Did You Buy?
There are sooooo many great Android apps that are free, that I seldom find any that I consider worth paying for. But, there are a few that I think are worth the cost. I'm wondering what apps you guys feel are worth paying for, and why.
I bought:
WSOP: Texas Hold' em (Had this game on my BB and loved it)
Redboxer ( I use Redbox all the time and you can do everything with this app)
iTransitBuddy ( I need the NYC train schedules because my schedule is always changing ) - 07-18-2010, 09:01 AM #2
I believe in paying for apps to support the developers. No one likes to work for free. I've bought several, but my two most treasured/useful are:
iBird and Audubon Guides. - 07-18-2010, 09:04 AM #3
Tapatalk Pro - I can easily browse the A/C

Documents to Go (love it from the old Palm days)
Calendar Pad Pro
Note Everything
White Noise (I have kids and they sleep to background noise - this was invaluable on our recent trip.)
Weather Bug Elite (I just prefer this over the Weather Channel app)
Xscope (best browser, hands down) - 07-18-2010, 09:33 AM

So you paid for every app you have on your phone? I'm looking on AppBrain at the free apps and I don't see anywhere that they ask for payment or donations. I think a lot of the apps generate money through ads . I have a few free ones that are barebones and you have to pay for the full version, which is nice because you can try them out before purchasing.

thus far, i've paid for system panel and beautiful widgets. considering paying for astro file manager, dolphin HD browswer and launcherpro. paid for system panel to support the developer (and to make use of some of the monitoring, but primarily to support the developer) and if i pay for any of those other three it will be for the same reason. have no use, for example, for the people widget in the pay version of launcherpro, but use the app enough it probably merits $3 to support fede.

So far:
robodefense full version (love this game)
launcherpro plus (not a huge fan of the paid widgets but i love the app so i pay to support the dev)
Feedr (used some free readers for a while but this is much better)
Weatherbug elite (the map widget is awesome, i still use twc for radar though)
Beautiful widgets (definitely worth the money... even more so when they fix the weather)
I think that's it lol. I use a lot of free apps but if i really love an app and there's a pay version available i like to support the devs!Current: VZW Galaxy Nexus
Previously: generic flip phones -> Samsung Alias u740 -> Blackberry Storm 1-> Droid X
