This looks like a good app. However the price seems a little high. At least for my needs.
But, I do like to support companies from Utah. - 08-17-2010, 10:22 PM #3
Looks nice. I would have to agree with the price being rather high, but I may try it out.

I just lowered the price to $2.99. Does that help out a bit?

I bought this app and now have some questions.
How do you sort by date. All tasks are listed randomly?
How do get widget to show more than one task?
I like the UI just need to learn how to use it. - 08-18-2010, 06:29 PM

@Dirt: It's showing $2.99 on the market on my device. I changed that late last night (it was a mistype). At least, right now, it's showing as $2.99 on my device.
Tasks are currently sorted first by priority, then due date and then by subject. If you'd like I will add an option to change the sorting.
The widget will show what you have in your current view. First off, what widget size are you using? Second off, do you have it display Today, Inbox, etc.? - 08-18-2010, 06:43 PM #9
I did find it in the market for $2.99 and bought it. appbrain was showing it at $3.99.
It would be great to have it sort by due date or what order you want.
I'm using a 4x2 widget and showing all tasks for now. And first task in list is due 17 Nov. I do have a lot more due in between now and then.
Like I said I really like how it looks, just need to learn how to set it up. - 08-19-2010, 09:23 AM

When I get the sorting worked out, it will affect the widget, too. The widget is currently using the same sorting method as the lists, so top and high priority tasks are being listed first.

Just got it, I use Go To Do but this seems a bit more organized.
I am new to GTD and I hope it helps me.
thanks for the good work and I will keep you updated. - 08-19-2010, 01:17 PM #12
I had another program working with the Toodledo.
I created a new unique ID, entered it and the UN and PW.
It tries to sync but nothing is coming down from Toodledo
I also tried to create a new task on the phone ans send it up to Toodledo, no go.
Any one else having this issue, or did anyone get it to work?
UPDATE
The Projects are the only items the have come down from the Toodledo to the phoneLast edited by atlkr5; 08-19-2010 at 01:21 PM. Reason: Update

Try this, please. Go back into Due Today's sync settings and tap on "Reset Sync Data". Then, try syncing again. I'd like to know if that fixes it.

"Reset Sync Data"
It did not work.
the only Items that it would delete would be the 1 Task I created and the Folders that it did Sync, but they are all still there after the "Reset Sync Data"
Tried to re-sync and same result. - 08-19-2010, 03:59 PM

It definitely shouldn't delete the task. It just resets the last sync time and the ToodleDo ids in the database on the phone. The last sync time is key since it's what is sent to ToodleDo to request only the modified tasks.
So, let's try looking at this differently. First off, what timezone are you in? Also, approximately how many tasks do you have in ToodleDo? - 08-19-2010, 04:20 PM

Oh, also, before I forget, did you enter your alias or your email address in the username field of the sync settings?

Id there any way to sunc the calendar on the phone to show what is due today on the calendar?

Right now all you can do is add individual tasks to the calendar (go to the task summary and press Menu > Add to Google Calendar). I'm also working on a way to add them all to a calendar.

Looking for the other way around. TO list any appoitments already in the calendar as due today.

Reinstalled, same result using aLogCat:

Thanks for the logcat. Unfortunately, neither of those are related to the syncing (they're actually coming from the system regarding the activation and pausing of the activity). Were there any error messages in the log that had a tag that mentioned ToodleDo?
OK, give me a few hours and I'll put up a new build. I added some code to display any errors that occur when during the sync process. That way we'll get a better feel for what's going on. - 08-20-2010, 03:42 PM

There was one more thing that may be causing it. I mistakenly had the wrong character set being sent (ToodleDo expects UTF-8 and I was sending an ISO character set). I know that that contributed to the mangling that one person was experiencing.
Now, it does seem to be doing some kind of sync. So, this build I'm implementing is going to put a few entries in the logcat to determine what's being sent to ToodleDo and what's being received. Maybe my parsing code is slightly off for some people and this would help in tracking that down. - 08-21-2010, 08:46 AM #25
Filtered the logs for Toodledo and I donot see any communications happening.
Let me know when the build is done and I will try it.
Thanks again.
