The only one I have found, until the stock player gets fixed, is RemoteWave that costs $2.98. I too am looking for one without having to pay since it was working in 2.1 and will hopefully be fixed.

Not sure why but I switched to the Sapphire rom a few days ago from BB .04 and I can now play .wav files from my e-mail again. I can open excel files too. This was also broken.

I am having the same problem. I have an EVO and my company voicemail gets emailed to me as a wav file. Can't play them since 2.2. Looking for free solutions.

Does remotewave allow you to stream .wav files from dropbox?

There is a new application in the Market called WavPlayer by Dennis Lockshine for $0.99. This is, IMO, more reasonably priced than the $2.98 Remote Wave application. Since it was only $0.99, I tried it. It works! The interface allows you to pause and move throughout the recorded file.

+1 for WavPlayer. Just installed it, works for me. I do think the RemoteWav offers a free version. I chose WavPlayer because the interface looked nicer to me, development seems active and it was only $0.99.

Remote Wave offers a free version that does play wav files that are atached to emails. i use it for Vonage voice mail without problem.
