Book Reader on the android
When I travel I used to bring a camera bag of stuff to keep me occupied; now I feel I just need my android phone. I'm on a business trip every month and thought it would be nice and convenient to have something to read on the Droid. Oh well, I have being using Aldiko. But when my friend recommended me to use Laputa, I never hesitate to try it. I always love new things. It was far beyond my imagination. I find that Laputa Book Reader get almost all of the features it has, and get some new features. What makes it unique is that I can turn a page like turning a real one. I think the Paper leaf rolling effect is really a gorgeous feature. It feels comfortable and nature. I just wonder how soon I can turn a page. Much faster than turning a real paper. Well, when it comes to this feature, isnít it very nice while it has some similarities to ibooks on ipads but free of charge? Besides, I can search for a lot of really good and free books with it. Much more books than aldiko.
You know technology changes so fast and bring much convenience to our life. When ebook reader first came out on the market, I was attracted by that light thing. But thinking that I would not carry a device wherever I go, I didnít buy one. Mobile phone is always the thing I carry along with me all the time. It is my favorite book reader up till now. Iím really satisfied with it.

I actually like the Barnes and Noble Nook reader better than the Amazon Kindle. I find the type font too faint on the Kindle and Amazon does not have a bold setting. The Nook is a better typeface IMO. (Maybe because I am older than most of you.) I have written Amazon but so far nothing has happened. So when I buy a book now I buy form B&N not Amazon.

I had problems with Laputa and ended up with Aldiko. A good book reader though does round a device out. I read extensively with it. My main source: Manybooks.net.EVO & an Acer A500 tablet.

I also use Aldiko (for Epub) as I said. I discovered iReader when I was suggesting Aldiko to someone. They mentioned iReader in the thread so I tried it and was hooked. ii
My main problem is Aldiko does not handle other formats aside from ePub (I still use it for those) so I had to have a few readers. iReader feels just like Aldiko (thats a plus) but has more options/settings and can read many formats. It allows mobipocket, fictionwise and ereader books all in one place. When they add Epub I will use it for my Epub books as well.
It just depends on what format you are reading and what you need. I just like to put other options out there. ii

I also like iReader the best so far, it just got an update recently and is better than ever, no fancy page turns but it is wonderful. If you have .txt content it definitely is the best, it will also find your chapters if you format it right. Just if you want to buy books online I guess it isn't for you. The page turn thing is cute but..... well it isn't enough to sell me on an ereader.

I am MAJORLY disappointed that B&N has decided to drop support for those purchases. I had asked if I could read those on Nook, and they said they have made the choice to drop support for that. What is sad is I paid a lot of money for these books, that yes, I can read on my PC or dig out an old Palm Pilot, but not on newer technology.Palm Pilot Pro->Palm V->BlackBerry 8100->PalmTreo650->PalmTreo680->OG iPhone->Palm Pre->OG Evo4G->EVO4GLTE,HTC ONE!
