One contact not syncing

I have a Google Nexus 5, and one contact in my contact list is failing to sync. If I add a new contact or change any other contact's info in Chrome on my laptop, the changes show up right away, both on my Nexus 5 and on my iPad, but this one contact isn't showing up at all in my Nexus 5's contact list, Gmail, or Hangouts. I've tried editing the contact's info on my laptop. I've tried manually syncing my google accounts on the Nexus 5, which works just fine. The really odd thing is that the contacts phone numbers and emails show up under other contacts' listings. Is there anything else I can try, duplicating the contact and deleting the original?
