SMS from Computer

Does anyone know if there is an app for your computer and phone that you can SMS through your phone from your computer and get notifications at your computer also? I know there is the app out there called Android Notifier, but it seems as though it only notifies you about SMS's and can not respond to them. Is there an app out there that you can do both?

Probably not what you're looking for, but I do it from Google Voice all the time.

...and no app is needed for the PC. Any internet-connected PC can hit the GV site to send/receive SMS.

Just installed sms2pc and it's awesome. It connected through my wifi connection automatically !!!

Texdro is another good choice. You can use just wifi on the free version, or use bluetooth and usb on the paid version (offered through the computer program).

You can use email if it is a verizon customer (phonenumber)@vtext.com

if you're a Sprint customer, you can send texts via Sprints site, or add the Sprint widget to your iGoogle page and send from there

Just tried this, I like the user interface a lot, but there's no way to get the response window to popup upon new messages. It appears it only comes up in the minimized form... Just me being picky.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone found any alternatives to SMS2PC? While I don't mind purchasing an app I'd like to find a free alternative first to test. I downloaded a free app "Mightytxt" it works except I get multiple (duplicate) msgs on the PC when some responds to me.
