    Default Alternative Dialer?

Is there a good alternative dialer out there for Android? Can you give me a few examples? I keep calling people by accident and finding people and having favorites is a little cumbersome.

    Thanks

I like Takephone a lot, even tho' it's not yet been updated for 2.0 and beyond. But you can have Speed Dials!!!! and Faves with pix for five of them. It still force closes if you press a button wrong, but doesn't screw anything up and restarts easily and quickly. Take a look at it. Many of us used in Palm land as our primary program on the unit. Super service too, if you have any trouble at all. Oh, 14 day free trial to see if you like it. Lots of settings to play with, so have fun.

It would be nice if they offered a trial version (I couldn't find it either). However, you can get a refund on any app you purchase in the Market within 24 hours of buying it.

Oh yes there is. Go see for yourself. Indeed, it looks like it might be 30 days now. Shsh is the initials of the developer of Takephone, for the curious.

That's good to know. I wonder why he doesn't have the trial version available in the Market?

    Hi all,

Thank you all for your interest in aTAKEphONE.

I was not aware there can be trials in the Market...

Will have to go there and check how it can be done.

Can you give me an example of an application that does have a trial in the Market ?

    Thanks.

Free: StarContact. Great search for contacts, integrated dialer/call log .. check it out.

StarContact looks confusing but I'll try SuperDial

I really have to wait 60 seconds between posts? Even if I'm not spamming? Reminds me of HowardForums, not Crackberry

I tried Takephone. But ended up going back to aContacts. This is better than the stock dialer, and has more features, too. It's one of my must-have apps!

EDIT: Oh.. and aContacts is FREE!

    Hi,

Just posted a new version of aTAKEphONE - 1.20 - at the Market.

This version supports OS 2.1 (Droid, Nexus One, ...), and also supports searching more fields (notes, companies...), and all contact accounts synced.

If you like the "Try before you buy" approach - you can get a full featured 30 days trial at

    Thanks
