Handcent SMS help?

I am new to this site and Forums in General, I was wondering if anyone could shine some light on my situation. I just DL the Handcent SMS app and absolutly love it on my Moto Droid. The issues is when i get a sms it duplicates one in Handcent and the other in the default Messaging on the Droid. I have set the Handcent as the default, yet i keep getting double the pleasure...Is there something that I may have missed with the install? I'm somewhat savy with my Droid, but still learning something everyday. I would love it if anyone could help, it's not the end of the world but would be High-Five if I could just have the one!

open the regular android messaging app, hit the menu button and choose settings. Make sure Notifications under Notification settings is unchecked.
