I created labels for social media and family emails in Gmail. I want to be able to configure separate notifications for each. Both labels have filters set up which apply the label and skip the inbox.
The notifications for each label work flawlessly, but there are two major problems which are preventing me from using it.
1. When you receive a label notification, it shows the email account and the label, but not the sender, subject, or preview. I like seeing this info in the notification without having to open the email itself.
2. There is no way to view a global unread email list, and the custom labels are at the very bottom of the list.
I want my social media emails and prolific volume of extended family emails to stay out of inbox, but these two limitations are making it very hard to accomplish. Any suggestions?
