Shouldn't website My Places sync with phone Maps?

I saved a destination on the website as one of "My Places", assuming that when I checked on the "My Places" on Google Maps on my phone, it would be there as well for navigation purposes. But, it says I don't have any Places saved. What is going on?

it should be sync, make sure the account you save it to is the same for both pc and phone.

Yes, they are the same account, my Gmail, contacts, calendar, etc, all sync fine. On the desktop browser, if I got to Maps, My Places, then My Saved Places, there is my address. But, when I go to Google Maps on my phone, then to Menu, then to My Places, it just says I have not "starred" anything, and shows me how to star things. But that starring is not an option on the web browser map, and it should show the same as My Places regardless. I am confused.

The only ones that will sync are ones that you Star. If you right click in maps and as what is near here. It will give you an address point close that you can star.
