I'm combining my iPod Touch and my Pre with just one device to carry, the EVO.

So, what is the best media app for Android? I know there's never a single best, just best for user style. So here's what I'm looking for:

VIDEO PLAYER:
  • Ability to play Videos in full size (shrink to fit)
  • Ability to zoom to fill (zoom in to make smallest dimension fill, cropping excess on larger dimension)
  • Ability to sort by "album" or TV series if episodes
  • Ability to pause, rewind, fast forward, and scrub the timeline

MUSIC PLAYER:
  • Ability to sort by artist
  • Ability to sort by song title
  • Ability to sort by album
  • Ability to distinguish Podcasts from Music
  • Ability to distinguish audio books from music
  • Ability to create playlists internally/on-the-go as well as read itunes lists
  • Ability to display cover art
  • Ability to play podcasts and audiobooks at faster than normal
  • Ability to scrub timeline

So, any suggestions that can cover all the bases??

Does bTubes sort and organize podcasts properly? What about audiobooks?

I like the interface design, just hoping to get all the audio media in one player.

Try it, I don't use pdcasts or audio books, remember on the android market anything you pay for and uninstall within the market within 24 hours automatically refunds.

i used to use Btunes, now I use cubed for music (free and great). For videos, I use the stock gallery.

I tried cubed, but missed the feature to delete songs, and add songs directly to playlists from the app. Cubed is a rad music app though.

For video, I use mVideoPlayer

I use the stock player on my HTC Incredible which should be the same for the EVO (you just open photos and click the video you want to watch), and convert the files using handbrake. Every time they have come out perfectly.
