Google Music Library Clean up

I use a podcast app to download and play all the podcasts I subscribe to. I use Google Music for... well... music. Unfortunately because the podcast app downloads the audio files to the SD card Google Music includes them in the Library and as it turns out the podcast creators are not too detailed on the actual .mp3 file names. Because of this my Google Music library is a mess.

My question is: Is there a way to limit the directories that the Google Music app has access to and if there is not does anyone have a work around?

I could be wrong but I read a while back that you can put "no media" files into folders; this will keep music players from reading them. Hopefully this can get you in the right direction.
