Re: [Free App] HypedMusic- Unlimited, free music streaming, no ad
ok, lots of great suggestions guys! I'm definitely listening to your input and I'm going to implement a lot of your ideas soon.
I just released v1.1.0 on the Android market, giving an option for people without Facebook accounts to use the app locally (syncing with the website can't happen, of course) but is still a great option for people without Facebook.
@cmb6: you bring up a lot of good points about the search engine. There's a lot of technical things that are hard to work around, but rest assured that the search engine will continue to get better. I'm working on an algorithm that runs audio files through echonest to clean up song data and give me uniform song names, song artists, and song albums that are reliable, which will in turn let users search by album, etc. and make search results better. The quotes thing tbh was just me being lazy- I wrote the code really quickly, and didn't feel like dealing with issues escaping strings and whatnot when storing data in mysql, so i simply stripped all quotes from songs. This will be definitely fixed.
@ashlanfosho song recommendations will definitely come soon once my data is cleaned with echonest. Actually, all playlists for users are public right now (for example, if you'd like to look at my playlists, it would be at

My next priority with HypedMusic is letting users download playlists locally on their Androids so that they can listen to music offline. Then the cleaning up song data/searching improvements, recommendations, and then radio channels. These are all coming soon, so keep checking back!
Also, I'd really appreciate it if you shared the app with friends and gave me good ratings on the Android market. More feedback would be greatly appreciated, and if you have any other feature requests, please post them on this thread! AndroidCentral is awesome!
