I was wondering when Google Maps Navigation (Beta) will be out of Beta? The info on the main site is all 2+ years old and would love to see Google have a finished product with version updates like their OS. Not to mention, make it work with no cell signal and work off of satellite so it's reliable as Garmin or TomTom...which this article explains how TomTom will be available in October!

But not why Garmin? Garmin is an iPhone I think.

On another note, I can't seem to find info on the orientation feature. I think I remember seeing video on someone holding their Android device, turning in circles with it and Google Nav was keeping the person's orientation. It was really cool and would love this when driving or walking. I have a garmin and the orientation when walking doesn't work like that at all.
