Does anyone know of an app that will keep the GPS connected to satellites while the app is in the background? Google Navigation will do this, but what if I don't have a route and just want the GPS on for location purposes (like Google+ Locations)?

I used an app named GPSTest by Mike Lockwood for this ... I think the same app is now in Play Store by the dev BARBEAUDEV.

Its a simple app, but like all GPS apps which let GPS running, even it will use some battery power.

FYI, in case anyone is interested, I settled on Ulysse Speedometer. It will run in the background and keep the GPS connected.
