HTC Peep vs OAuth, HTC has dropped the ball?

So, I can'T find information anywhere about HTC promising they'll update Peep Real Soon Now (TM), and all WinMo and Android HTC phones can't use their native Twitter client anymore since Twitter pulled the plug in Basic Auth during the night.

And apparently they had since December 2009 to implement OAuth, which all other Twitter clients for Android, to my knowledge, have implemented already, especially since there were outages a couple of weeks ago which warned developers to implement OAuth. And they all did - except HTC.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned in the AC blog yet!

Regardless, is there any way we can put pressure on HTC to at the very least tell us WHEN the update will be pushed, or what they're doing about it, if anything?

I find this inexcusable.. A winning feature of all their phones (friendstream which integrates 3-4 social networks) is now hobbled by their laziness.

Patrix.
