KitKat and Documents to Go

I use Docs 2 Go extensively. Since the KitKat update, all the fonts in all the apps, existing and new documents, are rendered as a kind of outlined font with a clear body. Hard to describe and can't post pics from this app. I've cleared the app cache and searched the help section without finding any suggestions.

I have the full paid version of D2G and would need to research how to uninstall and reinstall so I'm hoping to find a less intrusive solution. Any ideas?
