Default DLNA and ES File Explorer

They say ES File Explorer can be used to browse DLNA servers, but I can't seem to get this to work. I've set up minidlna on a Linux box, as well as the built-in media server in Windows 7, but during the scan in ES File Explorer all I see are the Samba shares for both machines. While I can use Samba to stream, I would prefer to use DLNA if possible... anyone know whatsup?
