Switch BT headset controls between two applications

I was wondering is anyone knows of an app, or some other solution to my problem. I am currently using two different audio application. Winamp for my music, and Doggcatcher for my podcasts. I use a BT stereo headset w/ pause and forward and reverse controls on it. The problem is that I can have the headset control turned on for both apps, but once I start using the controls for one they won't work for the second app even if I have completely closed the first. To get the controls working for the second one again I have to go into the settings of the first app, and shut the option off, then go into the settings of the second app and turn it off and back on. Not exactly a huge problem, but if anyone does happen to know of a fix I would be very grateful.
