Maybe they'll roll out non HTC device support soon? I might just be too optimistic though. Somehow I had a feeling that might happen.

but the hero and eris already have the sense UI, that doesn't seem to make any sense.

unless this is how they plan to release 2.x onto their sense enabled phones (just the widgets on top of the stock OS) or something it's very odd.

OR maybe it's in preparation for the upcoming nexus one, so that it too can have the sense feel. which should make it hard to restrict on any 2.1 device no?
