I have an S4. Every few days the phone starts updating default and systems apps such as Samsung Wallet, S Health, Tripadvisor- most of which I believe to be Samsung Hub apps(?). How do I disable this function? As noted in the title, nothing to do with the Play Store. Thanks guys

Some apps you CAN'T disable, unfortunately. But you do have a few options.

First, go into Galaxy Apps (yeah, they re-branded the Samsung store...again). Hit the menu button and select SETTINGS. There, you'll see an option to turn off Auto Update apps. BUT that only turns off the auto update feature for apps you downloaded there. A bit below you'll see the Auto Update Samsung GALAXY apps option. And THIS is the one you just can't turn off, you can only select to Auto Update while on WiFi or also while on mobile data.
