Help transferring WordFeud account to new phone needed.

I need help! My mom lost her Droid X, and we picked up a new one for her. I reinstalled WordFeud, and when we start it up, it asks for her email and password, then for some reasons asks to create a new account name. Typing in her old account name just gives us the message that it's already taken. How do I simply log in? I can't seem to figure it out.
