Why does TuneIn app have so much data? (not streaming data)

I'm inclined to clear the data but then I would probably lose the stations I'm following

167 MB is a lot of music or artwork. Why would it save anything if I never asked it to?

I agree with you, that's a lot of data. I have just 23mb related to TuneIn and after a little search with File Explorer couldn't find where they are! That app doesn't create a file that you can easily delete. So, if you don't want to lose your favourites stations and such, maybe the best thing could be to sign in TuneIn and that way you can keep your personal information after deleting all data.

I figured it out: when you press pause while listening, it saves the stream till you press play again so you can continue where you left off
