Is anyone having inconsistency when using the new photos app? I'm noticing that when I access the settings, it sometimes does not even show my account.

It'd also be nice if the app would indicate what photos are actually backed up and which ones are only on the device.

Since you can delete a backed-up picture using another device, whether that device has backed the picture up or not has no bearing on whether it's still backed up. And it would use data if it checked every time you opened the app.

A simple timestamp in the picture details (eg. Saved to Photos mm/dd/yy) would suffice. If you delete a photo from Photos on a PC and then check that photo on the phone app, it would show as a local image with no timestamp.

What I'm getting at is there simply is no way to know whether a photo has been backed up without checking it on another device.
