I cant log on to google play

when i try to log on to google play store on my sons samsung mobile i get the message

missing ID
no ID passed with URL

i can log on to google ok
i emptied the cache for most things like market etc ..
i wanted to download google play so i could find apps
specifically instagram

i searched the internet but did not find any info that was of use to me and i tried quite a few things ...
so now i am here

it must be easy ..first what does it mean ?
second how do i fix it ?

Hey George. First of all try cleaning cache NOT ONLY for google play but for google play services etc.
If it doesn't work you may try downloading a separate apk for Google Play.
