Welcome to Android Central! Are you getting duplicate notifications for the same message, or does it seem more random than that? Those two icons look slightly different, which makes me wonder if two different GoSMS platforms are notifying you about the same message. For example, on Facebook, it's possible to get notifications from both the Facebook app and the Facebook mobile site on Chrome, so I wonder if GoSMS does the same thing.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

It appears to be any text I receive and yes, I see what you mean about the two icons.

I used GoSMS with my previous phone and I never had this problem :s

It also appears to be happening with other SMS apps. I installed Textra and it did the same thing :/

What phone do you have? Do you know if it has some proprietary app that's like a messaging or social media hub?

Hey, it's an Honor 7. Not that I know to, the stock messaging app works fine but everything else duplicates them :/

So you have the stock Messaging app still enabled, and are using Go SMS on top of that? What happens if you disable the stock Messaging app? Just wondering if the Messaging app and Go SMS are both giving you the notifications.

Go to settings apps and find any text app your not using tap it and untick notifications or disable app all together

I should've thought of this before--when you swipe down the notifications, long-press each duplicate and tap App Info to see which app is generating the notification.

Hmph.

I'm not too familiar with Go SMS. What options do you see in its Settings>Notifications menu?
