Hey folks, the YouTube ripper app is no longer in the market and the xda post seems like the dev is MIA. Is there anywhere I can download from?

I know tubemate is an alternative but I'd much rather have something integrated into the bundled google player.

Just noticed that as well. It must be a legality issue. I'm glad I still have my copy of tubemate. It seems to still be working.

TubeMate is still on my market as of right now...

*scratching head*

As fast as a youtube downloader hits the market, just as fast its ripped out.
Apparently downloading violates goggle's terms of use for youtube. *shrug*

I've tried some .apk YT_ripper posted on xda, that is a FC nightmare.
Tried MP4 downloader in the market. Now that kinda works, just not very smoothly. Click on a link you'll get the option to download, but nothing happens. You have to search for the vid, and you cant even do it with the URL.

Man this is the one thing my Pre (patched) did with so little effort.

Just checked and now TubeMate is gone again...

Anyone had any luck getting a video with a higher quality than FLV player on the droid x? Or does it depend on who/how the video was posted?

Droid x is a High End device right?

S/N: Anyone looking for the apk. try 4shared....look for the 1.03 version

I use jetvd but that has been pulled from the market for months.

Yeah, they are staying in the market "cleverly" now. In the market is the LITE version where only play functionality is enabled. Then the app points you to the plus version on their website with full DL capability.

It is efficient and working BUT sure enough I still have gripes with it (lol)

Its cant DL more than one vid at a time, which wouldn't be such a bad thing but DL'ing mp4 takes forever even on WIFI. The other apps I've tried DL'ed twice as fast as this. It also seems to slow my Evo down a bit during DL's. Didn't notice that using mp4 downloader.
