Looking for an app that monitors cell reception

hey guys, I'm going to be taking a job soon which means I'll be at sea for extended periods and I am looking for an app that will monitor whether there is cell reception or not, and notify me. I've done a quick google and got no founds of anything suitable. If you know of anything that may be useful post below, cheers

You can possibly do this with Tasker ( https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&token=S_cE95nD ) by setting up a profile which monitors Phone -> Signal Strength and then pops an Alert when signal level is greater than 1, or something like that.

Two problems however:

1. Your phone consumes the most power when it is searching for a cell signal. In the situation you describe, you could easily drain a full battery in a matter of 4 to 6 hours, maybe even less.
2. Adding a Tasker monitor to the mix will probably just kill the battery that much faster
