My boyfriend has two phone apps. I waw wondering why

For some reason my boyfriend has two apps for phone. I have only one and on his last phone he had onl one. Why two

It could be from different developers or one from custom rom he running and one from Google. Or may be has two dialler apps downloaded from play store but kept same icon for both

It is not unusual for "Phone" to be listed more than once in the Settings>Apps menu. I'm not sure of the technical details, but I would guess that they just represent a couple of different components of the Phone app.

Welcome to the forums. I agree with B. Diddy. That happened in some phones after Lollipop, the 'phone' app appeared twice in settings - apps - all, nothing to worry about.

You probably shouldn't be snooping around in his phone.. In any case, it sounds fairly normal stuff, just chill out enjoy each other..
