texting app

Is ther a texting app that doesnt run through my service provider (verizon) so as a list of my texts (who i text) isnt on my bill. Its a shared account but not necessarily public info? I've tried search option and looking for apps but havent found what i'm lookin for.

You need to get invited from someone (I don't have any left or I'd hook you up) or sign up at the Gvoice site.

you get it in your email and just hit the link and sign up. Setting it up is pretty easy and it actually works really well. I use my G voice number for texts and voice anytime I don't want to give out my cell number, and the new Android client integrates really well.
