Swype help please - Moto Cliq

I have Swype beta downloaded, installed and properly selected as the input method. When I click on the text field the keyboard pops up fine.

Then, however, when I swype a word, the tracing shows but now word pops up in the text field and my Cliq does two somewhat loud beeps. Does anyone know what the problem is? I posted this on their website but it's like they have few customer service people helping.

Usually it means the word isn't recognized, or I should say your swype pattern isn't recognized. Try typing the word in one letter at a time.

Thanks, but I've tried multiple words. Easy ones like "the" or "as." Still does the same thing

The smaller the word the harder it is to get it right. I would suggest maybe uninstalling and reinstalling, something may have become corrupted when installing.

Also have you looked at your settings?

Menu > Settings > Locale & Text > Swype

do you have word prediction checked? What do you have under Speed vs Accuracy? I have mine set in the middle and like I said don't really have an issue.
