Hi!

I am using Android Auto with my Nexus 4 (stock, not rooted) on Lollipop 5.1.1. together with AVH-X8700BT (same like 4100NEX - just EU version).

Problem is that my Nexus 4 is pretty unstable and shuts off sometimes (red LED lighting up). It's also relatively warm. My theory is that it overheats.

Any ideas how to solve this? Any other theories? Any else having this problem?

Cheers,
Michael from Austria

Make sure the screen is off. Maybe Wifi too.

GPS uses a lot of power. Maybe set Location to low accuracy ?

Cell data uses power too. but you often need it.

Actually - I am afraid it's not directly related to a heat problem. Today the Nexus 4 shut down after 2 minutes or so. I was only streaming music - so no navigation.
