If you're asking yourself "Does my phone or car support Android Auto?" — this is where we're going to answer the question in easy list form. We'll have to update this this periodically, so if we're missing something sing out! (And seeing as how we're U.S.-based, any international suggestions are definitely welcome!)

What phones support Android Auto?

Anything running Android 5.x Lollipop that also uses Google services. And you'll need the Android Auto app, of course.

That said, there are a few phones that have a few hiccups. Check back with Google's list of known issues for more.

My AT&T Note 4 running Lollipop 5.01 doesn't work with my Pioneer AVH-8100NEX with FW version 1.03.
I have called Pioneer and they are suggesting it's my issue to work out.
anyone have something close to this setup working?

At the moment Skoda has 3 radio units that support Android Auto (and Apple Carplay). These are the radio units:
  • Bolero
  • Amundsen
  • Columbus
The Skoda Fabia and Octavia are already delivered with Android Auto (got one my own).

First impressions: Android Auto isn't available in the Play Store which is annoying. Voice control doesn't work properly(probably because not finished yet for my country). Maps works great, replying to text isn't working, calling works perfect, play music doesn't show my library or SD-card.

Having trouble with a new Moto G (3rd gen). While the old Nexus 5 worked without issue, connecting the Moto G brings up a screen from Android Auto that it is not compatible, even though the phone is running Android 5.1.1. Had a brief chat with Motorola who, of course, suggested I contact Android Auto support.

Is there anyway to contact Android Auto support? All I see are FAQs and known issues which don't relate to this. There is this vague mention about some phones not working even though they run 5.1.1, but not sure why.

What country are you in and with which car did you try? I'm based in Austria, got a brand new Skoda Superb and a LG G3. Sideloaded the app, VPN and FakeGPS to Germany, still AA is not booting up. And on a side note: Apple CarPlay works perfectly in my car...

I got a Skoda Octavia with Android Auto too. WOrks well with my Galaxy S4 though sometimes it seems to disconnect and re connect a lot. On my Motorola Moto G 4G it says the phone is "not compatible with mirror link"

Might want to add the 2016 Honda Accord and 2016 Honda Civic to the list. I believe the Accord is out now and the Civic will be out by Thanksgiving.

I had some e-mail correspondence with Volkswagen in Sweden and received this information.

App-Connect comes as standard on the 2016 line of Golf, cars produced in May 25th 2015 or later comes prepared for Android-Auto no matter which head-unit you chose. You'll just need to update the Android Auto app when the Swedish version comes out in Q1 2016.

Do anyone know if I can download the .apk for the American version of AA and run it in my car until we get the Swedish version?
(I have got the .apk installed and running, just waiting for my alltrack to enter production-line)

Are there any vehicles that have two USB media ports - I would like to run Android Auto through my phone on one port, and play music through the car's system via attached USB stick to a second port. Thanks.

I dont know how the equipment bundles are in your country but when I configured my Golf I could tick a box for "Handsfree comfort" with the description that reads "Multimedia connection AUX-IN and 2 USB-interfaces..".

That supposedly should let you play music from a USB-stick while using Google Maps on Android Auto, I'm not sure tho :)

>> To simplify things on our part, we recommend visiting this Android Auto sub-page for a list by manufacturer

No offense, but that list is useless (at least now). It's just a page of links to manufacturer's web pages.

What would be nice is a wiki (or web page) with a list.

For example
Year Make Model Trim/comment
2016 Hyndai Senata with Nav

Such a list would be real handy when trying to buy or rent a car. Why do the manufacturers try and make choosing them so difficult!
