Android Auto & Music searching has stopped working in 6.0

hey there.. since updating to Marshmallow, I can't use voice to find any music in Google Music or Spotify. It says 'no results' or similar.

I'm using a Nexus 6 and it was all working fine before updating. I've tried allowing app permissions on Android Auto, Google Paly Music etc but no luck.

Any help most appreciated.

I'm on Lollipop, but Spotify's app is horrible with Android Auto. Lately I haven't been able to search for anything without a "Spotify is not working right now" message. So that one's not you, it's the app. I don't have an explanation for Google music though.
