Budget Phone for Android Auto?

I have intalled pioneer head unit which support android auto and Carplay. Carplay works perfectly but I don't have a phone to check AndroidAuto.
Can you guys suggest cheaper budget phone which support AndroidAuto? I have read many reviews in hear that all the android phone running lollipop 5.0 or higher does not compatible with Android Auto. Please help.

Lollipop and up should be fine. Some Moto phones had issues (but not for me, which was weird.)

But remember that you need a cable running from the other input on the Pioneer. CarPlay is a separate input.

Thanks. I'm looking for very cheap phone just for AndroidAuto. Do you think Acer Z220 (100 $) phone which comes with android lollipop 5.0 will work android auto?

Yes I have already connected two USB extension cables. And also you needs to change USB 2 from Pioneer settings before use this feature.
