Night mode for Google Maps?

Hi there,

anyway to activate night mode on Google Maps? I am using an AVH 4200NEX. The resolution on this unit makes Google Maps appear a bit washed out, I think night mode might help with this. I know it's supposed to switch to night mode automatically based on your device's clock, and it works fine using the app on the phone, but not when connected to my head unit. Any suggestions? The head unit typically dictates whether google maps appear in night mode whether it be by ambient light sensor, dimmer setting/timer, or manual override. Try adjusting the settings there. I understand it may be possible to tweak it on the phone too but that is not a typical or easily accessible adjustment.

I have a Kenwood DDX9703S and maps go into night mode when the headlights are on. Maybe you Pioneer works the same way?
